Tanja is a welcome addition to the Back to Nature Ecotherapy team, bringing a deep understanding of nature’s transformative power and a passion for supporting children, young people, and adults on their healing journeys. With her provisional psychologist qualifications and extensive counselling experience, Tanja offers both psychological and therapeutic support through a creative, emotion-focused, and body-aware approach.
Experience and Specialisation: Tanja works with people of all ages who feel drawn to a creative, emotion-focused approach to healing and growth. She has a special love for working with children and young people, bringing playfulness, imagination, and deep presence to help them grow through creativity and connection.
Approach: Tanja’s sessions offer a grounded, gentle environment where clients can feel safe to be exactly as they are. She follows their pace, encouraging expression through movement, story, play, and open-hearted presence. Her style is intuitive, creative, and deeply relational.
Values and Qualities: Warmth, honesty, presence, and deep respect are values that Tanja consistently brings into every interaction. She creates space for people to show up as they are – all parts are welcome. She holds a deep belief that people have the capacity to grow, heal, and transform when they feel safe and seen.
Beliefs: “When we are disconnected from nature, we can become disconnected from ourselves. In nature, we learn to sharpen our senses in a space that is open, expansive, and interconnected. We feel like a part of something bigger.”
Interests: Outside of work, Tanja is passionate about nature, movement, storytelling, and creativity, which she enjoys weaving into sessions when appropriate. She believes healing can be spontaneous, creative, connected, and alive. She also learns about people and nature on adventure walks with her playful dog, Chimpy.
